Before the internet users type slurs at me for not knowing, do artifacts affect other players when I want to use them?

In Risk of Rain 2, I’d like to use the Artifact of Glass, but it says “Allies” on it so I really don’t want to use it fearing that I’ll harm everyone else’s game.
