Equipment is a usable item, requiring manual activation by the player as opposed to the passive Items. Only one Equipment item can be held at a time (MUL-T being the exception, having the ability to hold two Equipment at any given time).
Most Equipment items operate on a cooldown: the item has one charge, entering a cooldown state for a certain period of time upon use. Transitioning to another level doesn't refresh the cooldown of your equipment items. For those, the Fuel Cell item can be used to increase the maximum number of charges and reduce the cooldown timer. Exceptions to the cooldown mechanic are noted in the table.
Equipment has two rarities – Standard equipment is found in orange Equipment capsules found across the stages and potentially dropped from the Shrine of Chance. Lunar equipment is purchased with Lunar Coins in Lunar Pods and the Bazaar Between Time, like the other Lunar items. Some equipment items need to be unlocked by completing a Challenge before becoming available in a playthrough. They are listed with the associated challenge name.

- Note that five Equipment aren't listed in the logbook. Ifrit's Distinction, Silence Between Two Strikes, Her Biting Embrace, N'kuhana's Retort and Spectral Circlet each represent an Elite enemy, each randomly(and rarely) drop from said enemies, and none can be activated.
- This may be so that only one "aspect" can be held by a single player at once.
- The player holding one of these "aspects" gains the same specialties the elites have, igniting enemies and a trail of flame, a shocking explosion, freezing slow, execute, releasing spike patches that stop healing effects and project a field that makes allies invisible.
- In the games files, multiple unobtainable/unlisted items from the first game can be found.
- These won't be included on these pages until they make an appearance in the game.
