The Time Keeper's Secret is an uncommon utility item in Risk of Rain that activates at low health.

If you take high enough damage in a single hit, it is possible for this effect to trigger after you're dead, making it useless.

After being proced, the item has a ~7 minute recharge time before it can be used again. Unknown if the time it takes to recharge is based on difficulty or # of Time Keeper's Secrets.

Character Synergies

Time Keeper's Secret triggers on Engineer's turrets when they fall to low health, enabling frequent time stops with far less risk to the player. As time freeze stops not only enemies, but the difficulty timer, as well as indirectly helping drones and players in co-op when time is frozen, this item can prove quite valuable on Engineer compared to other characters.
